Corvidae is a cosmopolitan family of birds that contains the crows, ravens, rooks, jackdaws, jays, *magpies*, treepies, choughs and nutcrackers.

There is much superstition and folklore surrounding magpies, but it is their apparent fascination with collecting shiny things, that I am especially intrigued by.

Like the magpie, I have a longstanding interest in jewellery, and whilst I’m sure this will be touched upon, ‘Eye of the Corvidae’ is more about finding, collecting and discovering.
And I have been told that I have a beady eye for spotting things…or perhaps I’m a bit of a magpie.
